The pro epi institut is comprised of Dr Carsten Matuschek, a trained master dental technician / epithetician and Master of Science in Dental Technology (engineer), and a team of other specialists.

Altogether, the institute can draw on more than 45 years of experience in the field of epithetics and surgical prosthetics. Our patients benefit from this experience, particularly with respect to the skilled design and creation of epitheses and surgical reconstruction aids.

Dr Carsten Matuschek, MSc, PhD

Engineer / Master Dental Technician  
Born in 1977, initially trained as a dental technician in Berlin

1997 Trained as an epithetician at the St. Marien hospital in Cologne and at the Charité Berlin

1998 Founded the institute for surgical prosthetics and epithetics

2000 Masters training in Berlin, passed the master dental technician's examination

2001 Specialist training in various international specialist courses in the field of surgical prosthetics and epithetics

2006 Master's project under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dr. Müßig in Regensburg and Prof. Dr. Zylla in Osnabrück, ultimately graduating with a Masters of Science in Dental Technology.

2009 PhD project in surgical prosthodontics

2011 PhD thesis examination

2016 PhD awarded with the authorisation to independently and autonomously teach at a university

2016 Lecturer and seminar leader at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin in surgical prosthetics and epithetics for the elective "Plastic and reconstructive surgery for the head and neck region".

2017 Collaborative partner at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin
